Joel Jasper, a long time DJ, multi-instrumentalist and electronic producer from Vancouver - truly believes in the power of music and its wonderful ability to bring people together.   Picking up his first guitar at the age of 12, he realized his true calling in life and his passion for music continues to grow. Joel began DJ’ing at weekly house parties in University and slowly moved into original music production. Influenced by R&B, Hip Hop, Pop, House, Jazz, 70's and 80's funk and rock music - He cultivated his tastes and sound through years of playing large events, international shows and by staying involved with the local electronic music scene.   With a strong foundation in live club events, electronic production and musical theory – Joel can offer more than just a mixtape of the Billboard top 40. Joel spends time with his clients to ensure that their unique plans and needs are met perfectly, because no two parties are alike! With his high-energy sets and keen ability to read the crowd, he can take you’re party to a new level of fun and excitement.   Joel has developed a live solo show opening for the likes of Hot Chip, Kungs, Robin Schulz, Chromeo, Fred Falke and Klingande. His live sound has a deeply tropical vibe and euphoric atmosphere, perfect for driving down an Oceanside highway at sunset. Although he frequently plays large clubs like Celebrities, Fortune, The Waldorf, MIA or The Fox, he is no stranger to a classier or more relaxed atmosphere when playing events. Look forward to catching up soon, we’ll be in touch.  Truly can’t thank you enough!”   Matthew Reid, Hong Kong/Vancouver (Wedding at Dusty’s in Whistler, August 2013) We hired DJ Veronica to DJ our wedding in Whistler, BC in July 2014, and we just cannot say enough about how amazing she was!   When we first met DJ Veronica for our consultation, we knew instantly that music was her passion, and that she was really organized and on the ball.  Her music questionnaire covered everything, and she was available to assist with choosing our first dance song (we just couldn’t decide) as well as the kick-off song. DJ Veronica played the grooviest music during dinner at the perfect volume.  Everyone could talk, and although it was “background” music, it was really great.  It just set the perfect vibe.  When it came time for speeches, DJ Veronica was on top of things with the microphone.  Some of our guests do public speaking for a living, and their voices are booming.  Other guests speak much more quietly.  DJ Veronica gave a quick tutorial to those who were not familiar with using a microphone, and she was able to turn up the volume of the quieter speakers so that the speeches sounded like everyone was a pro.  When it came to the dancing portion of our wedding, she had my grandmother dancing.  It was so great to see her up on the floor and it made for some wonderful photos!  DJ Veronica’s music selection was executed perfectly throughout the night.  She took requests and she was dancing right along with us as she mixed the music, which went from oldies to disco to 80s, 90s, some old school hip hop 2000s and ended with Top 40.  I honestly cannot think of another time when I have danced so hard.    ALL of our friends have been asking for DJ Veronica’s contact information and we know for a fact that three couples who attended our wedding have already booked her for their weddings next year.   We can’t wait to dance to her music again!
